later alligators

i'm going on vacation today. something i rarely do! yes i went to austin in march, but sxsw isn't so much a vacation as it is a series of moments waiting for cabs, rushing around to see bands and getting little sleep. and yes i went to the west coast last year around this time -- all the way from seattle to los angeles, but as much as going on tour with three bands sounds like fun (and it was) i wouldn't call it a proper vacation, even if at times it looked like it. but now, today, i leave for VACATION. of course, i'll still be posting over at gothamist so it won't really seem like i'm away from my laptop. but i will be! anyway, i'm off to go find travel size shampoos and whatnot at the drugstore.
