in a spontaneous turn of events, i'll be DRIVING home from austin today. so...i'll be back in brooklyn in 1,743 miles from now. while i'm sort of interested in (terrified at) my ability to help drive this big band van, the friend i'm accompanying on the way home says we may be able to stop at graceland. yay!
before i hit The Road however, i have picture share! yesterday i was orchestrating this interview with michael pitt in an alley off 6th street (to be seen on gothamist soon). he was really pretty interesting and nice - though he took one of the video cameras sitting on the ground and started moving snakelike around me while filming me.
his band, pagoda, is on thurston moore's label. i caught a bit of their set the other night. i have to say, this song gets stuck in my head pretty easily: lesson learned.mp3
