since every blog over the past week has been all, "OMG i was at arcade fire and it was like totes the best evs." i'm going to refrain from that. the band is amazing, i feel lucky to have seen them again. they make me happy about life. and here's a picture i randomly took of win donning reflective tape (taken out of the reflective tape chapter in the apes and androids book on how to rock) - and look at that, it's my chum amrit with a big 'ol smile on his face.
i'd say that this photo sums it up pretty well. glowing, sweaty and happy.

last night i caught malajube (finally) before snowden took the merc stage. i really loved malajube, jeff told me that they sound like a french canadian taking back sunday - but i have no idea what taking back sunday sounds like (my 17 year old cousin lists them as a favorite band on her myspace page, though). i hear it's emo. but i still like them. even if the singer threw a beer at me during a moment of rock star antics.

update: heart on a stick posted the bestest! mostest! hottest! blog post about the transcendent experience felt by many other bloggers at the arcade fire shows - and their need to, you know, blog about it. reading the jane mag post that he linked to amused me for at least 5 minutes earlier today. on top of using descriptives like "adorable" and "flipped out," they even got the record release date wrong.
