my mom would have been sixty years old today. i wrote about her last year, and that was emotionally draining enough. so i'll just leave you with the link, and the below post on how i like totally went to see the arcade fire last week.
she loved the beach boys, and i always thought this song was about snoopy when i was little and she played it:

wow, she was a pretty lady! also? sloop john b was a lot of fun to sing along to as a kid. i remember singing it with my friends on the way home from a camping trip. at the time, i didn't realize it was a beach boys song.
