everyone is talking about the new iphone (seriously, i got about 50 IM's yesterday about this thing). me, i'm happy with my new record player and the sweet vinyl i've been collecting. i'm totally addicted. any recommendations of what is good to listen to on vinyl? i feel like certain songs were just meant to be heard on a record player. i've been listening to simon and garfunkel and the beatles white album a lot lately. and i just got radiohead's ok computer, too.
other than that, i'm also enjoying my new chairs...
...which will look lovely in the new williamsburg apartment i just got! brooklyn...here i come.

What kind of record player did you buy..? I have an old one and was thinking of updating.

If you're listening to the White Album on your great looking record player, might I suggest the "Red" and "Blue" albums on vinyl? (A.K.A. The Beatles 1962-1966 and The Beatles 1967-1970.) I always thought those two best of double albums had the crispest sound. And the "Red" album has a weird mix of "Help" that is nowhere else.

jimi hendrix's "third stone from the sun" listened to on vinyl is a life changing experience. also: "shake What your Moma gave ya" is cool too.
