i had about...15 glasses of champagne at the gothamist holiday party the other night. i'm pretty certain i made some sort of statement about how justin timberlake is, like, totally, such a talented musician. or something. he writes catchy songs okay! and he's so humble! I LOVE YOU JT!
some things that are making me happy, in the overall depressing december/holiday times...
my new record player! it's here. and it's amazing. today i listened to rush, rem, bruce springsteen, bad brains and eric b and rakim. these are the only albums i have right now. but i just ordered ok computer, bridge over troubled water and pretty much every beatles album. i'm addicted.
some more holiday cheer: j, who left that comment on the post below while sitting 15 ft away from me, just got me a little miniature christmas tree. it's currently blocking my sighline of the (muted) tv, which is good - since cnn is on reporting depressing things.
and finally, it's not really christmastime until i've watched rudolph and listened to the snowden christmas ep from years ago:
happy christmas (war is over).mp3 - snowden
unrelated: i like this video of ginsberg and kerouac. if i were in a band, i would probably be in a "hyper literate prog rock band", and have this video playing behind me during live performaces. like the books! they should do something with that video.
man, i have SO MUCH ENERGY today. i think they may have put caffeine in my decaf peppermint mocha earlier.
except for the rush, those are all my albums, aren't they? weird that you now have them. how long did you listen to either eric b and rakim or bad brains, i'm wondering?
