(jitterbug perfume was pretty much responsible for getting me in to more contemporary literature in college. i was an english lit major, and read "the classics" only, please. until tom robbins came along. i went back to the classics after whipping through all of his books, which i revisit frequently. they're a fascinating place to visit, i highly recommend it!)
