for reasons that aren't entirely surprising, the last date of the bravo silva residency at pianos...is no longer at pianos. we have moved the show to the syrup room, where we all feel a little bit more at home. so come on over THIS WEDNESDAY! here's all the info you need in the email the band sent out...
VENUE CHANGE:
hi everyone,
our show on July 19th will no longer be at PIANOS!
some booking conflicts, some shady dealings, and some straight-up disrespect has forced bravo silva to move out!
so we're bringing it back home kids:
to the syrup room
100 ingraham street
btw knickerbocker and porter
take the L train to Morgan stop, then follow the leadershere's the deal:
less: 8
the subjects: 8:45
raising the fawn: 9:30
bravo silva: 10:15justin carter from nublu will be djing
free drinks all night to those with good stories about bad venues!
best,
bravo silva
there may also be some specials guests! some treats! and some antics of our own! so come by. the space is really fun, the bands are all really great (you may remember raising the fawn from movable hype 4.0 - this is john crossingham's band, he's also in this band) and it's going to be a party...
hope to see you there!
xo

ps: here are some mp3's...
gwendolyn.mp3 - raising the fawn
the other man.mp3 - bravo silva
listen to the subjects here, and listen to less here ("i want to know you" - such a good song!)

well done. i have played in several bands that were pushed to 1am (orig. scheduled for 930 IE 10pm), or had confirmed dates changed without an email (i discovered while checking the website). unless you are some slick band that a label or powerful booking agent is trying to push, or some artist pianos is trying to claim as their own success story, pianos doesnt care about you. this is to say nothing of people that see a band listed and make plans, and then find out too late scheduling has changed.

The only show I've been to at Pianos was pretty cool... although me & my girlfriend were the only people there other than the band...
