north of delancey

tomorrow i am MOVING. which means that right now i am in the middle of a pile of possessions, questioning my need for any of them. do i need a glass jar that holds scented oil and wooden sticks that apparently soak up said oil and make my room smell nice? probably not. but i'm packing it anyway! what is wrong with me.

once i had a handmade wall mural when i lived in burlington, vermont. it was of jerry holding a dancing bears hand. yeah. i'm not kidding. since the new roommate probably wouldn't allow something like that anywhere in the apartment (and also because i am not quite the hippie i used to be), i have procured the wall mural i debated getting last year. also known as the "morning forest wall mural". also known as "the thing that will make it seem like i am living in a giant bob ross painting" and/or "the thing that will make it seem like i am living in the forest. in the morning." ahhhhh, so relaxing. it is currently just blocks away at my new place waiting to be attached to my bedroom wall.

so my new place comes fully assembled with a new roommate! if you read this blog, you probably read her blog. i'm so excited! though i will be moving away from the only roommate i've lived with for the past two years, and our cats! and the 5th floor! (though this will keep it's name.)

here's the only song i could find that had the word "movin" in it on my itunes, that wasn't billy joel's "movin' out". i don't know why i have it. this song is very very...not good:

to make up for it i was going to post kanye west's "golddigger" (explicit version!) - because i think that may be the opposite of what i just posted as far as awesomeness is concerned. god that song is catchy. but it's an m4p. so i can't post. it's protected. maybe for your own good, i think there are swear words in it. anyway, i'll post this fucker instead:
