news from the 5th floor

for some crazy reason, 5th floor is just all abuzz today - so i thought i'd give you some unsolicited news about what's going on up here:

1. my favorite scotsman, darren, has been working hard over in glasgow to redesign the 5th floor site. it's not quite done, but here's a preview...

2. slowlands is playing mercury lounge tomorrow night (6/24). they go on at 8:30, and the rest of the lineup is great too (rahim, the plastic constellations and the isles). so set up camp at merc tomorrow night.

ryspace also posted some great live tracks from their last show at mercury in may.

3. bravo silva will be taking residency at pianos this july. every wednesday night you'll be able to catch them with some other great bands. we've been working on the lineups, and they're almost all set - i'll post them here soon.
