i have no idea where to begin recapping sxsw. and most of it is probably of no interest to you. so i'll bullet point it, and then you can skim and it won't take long and then you won't be annoyed that you took minutes out of your day reading another recap about sxsw. here are my highlights (both musically and otherwise):
- being on the plane with we are scientists. for some reason this made me feel safer, and better about being awake so early.
- meeting aaron joseph sturmthal bergman
- finally meeting justin (who likes to be called juice, for some reason) and allen, of austinist
- finally meeting ben's lovely lady katie
- getting my world rocked by snowden's live set
- seeing bravo silva twice, with a horn section!
- watching ghostland observatory. which while always awesome, may be even more awesome when aaron has a pole to utilize on stage.
- the pool at our awesome, inc. afterparty
- ¡forward, russia! (listen - stolen from jeff: eleven.mp3)
- jonathan demme and neil young being on a panel, bravo silva being in the audience, and me getting a call from them that demme name checked them at the panel.
- meeting ryan schreiber, who was quite enjoyable to talk to
- seeing aziz perform his stunt from illusionators, live!

- queso
- avocado margaritas
- park park forever (the best band you never heard of, likely. i'll try to find an mp3)
- attempting to talk to the camera crew that was following scott around the whole time (2nd clip, from the "blogger brunch". heh)

- patton oswalt, who hosted the pitchfork party
- seeing voxtrot twice (listen: soft and warm.mp3) -- "you are so young, so feel alive!"

- seeing the singer from wolfmother every morning because we were at the same hotel

one night, a long time ago now, a friend made a video of me and some other friends - they were like the apple switch ads...but for bloggers (or as he jokingly dubbed us "cewebrities"). he loved errol morris, who created the apple switch ads. he interviewed him for gothamist. he made me watch an errol morris film once, which i thanked him for afterwards while we ate burritos from san loco. he made me a great birthday party invitation. once we attempted to create the intellectual counterpart to misshapes, it was called "the glass family reunion" and though we had booked the club and created a website - we never followed through. he thought of the name "movable hype" for the gothamist shows. once we sat on a bed in my house in vermont and put makeup on eachother, like kids. last month he took me and jeff to see his friend amanda play the piano at joe's pub. this is all i can manage to say right now.
