national geographic, snowden and new GLO

051202_sharks_suba while ago i posted this IM conversation between me and greg about sharks. and my love for them. i think death by shark attack would be the way i'd prefer to go. anyway, today my friend lara emailed me this national geographic link, knowing it would interest me. the title of the story: shark-shaped submarine is latest cousteau star vehicle. essentially cousteau's grandson dives incognito amongst great white sharks in the 14-foot-long faux-shark sub, which carries a single passenger. oh cousteau jr., let me be that single passenger!

speaking of national geographic, tonight at 8pm the inside grand central terminal special is on. i don't know why, but i'm really excited to see it. when previews make mention of "mysterious elevators and secret railyways" and say things like "lies a city within a city" - i get all dorky and excited about it. alas, i will have to divo it and watch it later. "why?" you ask...because first and foremost comes the rock. and tonight at mercury lounge snowden plays! 8pm sharp. GO SEE THEM. then come over and watch the grand central thing with me.

ps: you can hear NEW ghostland observatory songs at myspace. i think ben said it correctly when he told me their new album was so good it made him want to punch them in the face. aaron, i'm still waiting for it!

If you're such a big shark fan, I'm not sure if you'll like this link or not... but give it a try.
