last night i went to northsix to see wolf parade.
it could have been the 3 hour dinner beforehand, the cold night or the fact that the venue was packed and we couldn't get further up towards the band...but i wasn't as blown away as i thought i'd be. however, i felt the potential to be blown away, like - i knew people in front were totally getting blown away, which is pretty much just as good. next time i'll just push my way to the front so i don't feel so disconnected.
the above photo was taken in the mirrors behind the bar, which was the only way i could see the band. it's kind of strange that i saw them last year at webster hall, and didn't even really pay attention.
in other news, i'm really busy and have to go to work now. more later...
i wasn't really blown away either, but it was a nice set.
