mr. blue sky

last night scott and eliza got married! when they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife (!) the song mr. blue sky by electric light orchestra came over the speakers. it was awesome, even if jeff had to tell me what song it was.

Denverweatherthis guy was sitting next to me at our table, and he asked, "where did you go to college?" so i replied, "university of rhode island" and he was like, "oh, let me throw some names at you..." and i thought to myself that there was no way i'd know anyone he was going to list, b/c URI was a big school. but then he names practically everyone in these pictures. crazy!

thursday i'm going to visit a friend in colorado. this morning i heard it was snowing there. it's 38 degrees and SNOWING and on thursday when i leave it's going to be 65 degrees and sunny. there is something not right with that.

happy columbus day, here's an excerpt from zinn's peoples history.

decemberists did a fantastic cover of mr. blue sky on wednesday. kinda weird to see colin just singing (no guitar)... he kinda had some kind of tom jones thing going on.

Jen takes awesome pictures. wickedd awesome. though i'm not in any of them. that's whack! Those college pics make me feel weird. But i like the "it's a small world" story.

sorry cel, you were at the couples table! us singles weren't allowed over there for photo ops.

I realized half way through the evening that that was you sitting at my table and then I was too awkward to say, "hi Jen from the Gothamist". That was a blog all-star table.

It's a good thing you don't know that much ELO.
