i really hate webster hall, and the only thing worse than webster hall is webster hall in the summer. unless of course you somehow are in the vip section, which i was lucky enough to be in tonight at the spoon show.
while basking in the sweet sweet air conditioning and watching britt daniel, i wondered why in the world i did not go sit with him at 4am by the hot tub at ben's party in austin. the answer is actually that i am old and was tired, sleeping just 20 feet away. but still, that was dumb.
prior to the show i was at a benefit for freeartsnyc where i saw this nice sunset...
i apparently also saw famous people, although i was incredibly bad about recognizing any of them. i did sort of think this was tara subkoff though. naomi watts, karolina kurkova and everyone else were lost on me - i was too busy looking for david bowie. and wondering why i didn't have nice clothes like everyone else there.
pictures of everything here. and despite the fact that we stood in nearly the same spot, the bv has nicer photos.
the question is how famous are these people when aside from naomi watts I haven't ever heard of them.
