...if you didn't go to movable hype tonight...you missed DAVID FUCKING BOWIE. this afternoon i was told he was put on the list (+1) under a name that i had to google to make the connection that it was him.
even more amazing than bowie being at a show i booked...was ghostland
observatory [@ left]. this was their first nyc show and they left a packed room
jaw dropped and dancing.
i'm going to sleep now. but...OMG.
update: ben has an account of the night that ghostland made the ny'ers move their feet.
I was there and didn't see Bowie. We saw Clap Your Hands, who were pretty good. But then Ghostland Observatory was FUCKING AMAZING!!!! They totally blew us away!!!!
We were so happy and satisfied, that we figured the Fame would be a letdown. Thank you for the show.

he was brought straight upstairs to his seat, stayed for clap your hands entire set and then left. he was wearing a baseball hat. and yeah, i wanted him to stay for ghostland b/c they are the most amazing band EVER.
