sometimes, i forget i'm alive

i decided that if i only posted about annie and widespread panic today, that would be very wrong.

so...i've been listening to this new nine inch nails album since 10am, in particular this one song, sunspots, over and over and over again...listen:

sunspots.mp3

it is so good there is almost no point in listening to any other music. seriously, stop listening to bloc party, the killers, the futureheads, whatever else is cool this week. this album makes me want to come back in my next life as a lingering note of one of trent's screams living in the air of his funeral home/recording studio in new orleans. one day i'll take the time to write about the extreme emotional effects three bands have had on me thoughout the years, and as i was discussing with someone earlier - how the music being churned out today pales in comparison. some bands pierce through the surface and stick with you. so while i may find myself skipping over to the bowery ballroom to catch the next big thing every other day - i'm always listening to one of those three bands on my way there.

ps: if anyone has a ticket to a nin nyc show, i was sadly shut out and am in desperate need of one.

[if i could find a picture of my first car, a 1980 plymouth reliant k car (cherry red) with a giant NIN sticker on the back of it, i would post it here]
