a few months ago this guy from austin was all: listen to this band! they are the best band ever! i have an advanced copy of the cd of the greatest band you've never heard of! etc etc.
i didn't believe him, for several reasons i won't get into, so i didn't listen to the cd he sent me.
in austin though, during sxsw, this bands cd was played constantly in his car, and i began to believe him and his hype.
then i met one of the guys in this band as i was falling asleep in the vip room at that party. he was nice. his hair was shiny. his accent friendly. i made a mental note to listen to the cd upon my return to new york.
which i did, and i like it. it's contagious and i usually listen to it twice in a row - most cd's i can't even get through once. here is a song from this band, who is - by the way - called ghostland observatory:

everyone whose ever heard a ghostland song really digs them. i've unintentionally gotten my entire family and friends hooked. the guys are especially friendly and normal.
