last night i decided to skip the stars show at northsix in favor of spending some quality time with my old friend "sleep", and also "rest". of course this plan did not go as...planned. i ended up at the show, tired but happy to see stars and take some pictures with my newly fixed camera. my newly fixed camera that i left sitting on my bed. dammit!
so, we got there and kevin devine was still playing. upon hearing him i made the obvious observation that he sounded like conor oberst. he then broke into a song that was (it was!) lua.mp3. it had different lyrics, but it was the same. this guy annoyed me. and you know what, i like conor oberst! before going out last night i was actually watching his austin city limits performance. please feel free to not comment upon this.
anyway, luckily my tiredness combined with the late stars set helped me fall asleep promptly when i got home and sleep a dreamless sleep. i've been having really weird dreams this week. dreams about ghosts. mean ghosts. and now, a scary look inside my head brought to you by dream interpretation site dreammoods:
GHOST: In general, ghosts symbolizes aspects of yourself that you fear. This may involve a painful memory, guilt, or some repressed thoughts. You may be afraid of death and dying. Alternatively, ghosts are representative of something that is no longer obtainable or within reach. It indicates a feeling of disconnection from life and society. This dream may be a calling for you to move on and abandon your outdated modes of thinking and behavior.
outdated modes of thinking! screw you dreammoods. anyway, i believe in ghosts. there was one called "the white lady" [pictured] in easton, ct - the town we shared our high school with. the cemetary that she haunted was by my friend jenna's house. here is a little article on her, which also includes a story of a new ghost in easton called "red eyes".
i wonder if physicist aaron joseph sturmthal bergman believes in ghosts.
I used to live in CT as well, there was a haunted cemetary near me and it was called "Green Lady Cemetary." Your haunted lady is 'White' and mine is 'Green'. We would always take rides up there in high school and try to see the 'green mist' that was said to be the "Green Lady." I personally nevr saw it, but others of course claimed they have. People would camp out by the cemetary overnight, a little too spooky for my taste. I do beleive in ghosts though. My older sister claims to see ghosts on a regular basis. It's weird, in the past she has seen ghosts of people we knew, who would die that night or the next day. Crazy! My whole family tells her to embrace it and try to communicate, but she freaks out when she sees them and screams. I'd hear her scream all the time growing up, even recently. So, I believe in ghosts; good or bad, green or white.

I want to go to that cemetary, I already know how to get there. The only thing I'm worried about is getting arrested. Is it illegal to go there even if you're not intending to harm or vandalize anything?
