good news, i got my camera back yesterday! you may or may not remember that i dropped it whilst dancing on stage with the flaming lips. fell right out of my owl arm! anyway, after a trip to someplace called elk grove village in illinois, it has returned to me safely.
the bad news however, is that i'm still not so great at taking pictures. over the past few weeks i've been using a camera on loan, and while i was able to continually take photos - the added experience in no way whatsover helped me improve upon my photography skills.
and i'm okay with that.
i will be continuing my exercise in bad photography tonight at northsix for the fatales, kevin devine, jeffrey lewis and stars (benefit) show. here are songs by two of those bands:
