so i guess everyone got to see beck last night, check out the flickr images here. since i wasn't part of the "everyone" that got to see beck, you get another nin post!
matt sent me this cool article on trent reznor and how he's making one of his new songs available to everyone in the "actual multi-track audio session" format, which means if you have garageband software you can basically recreate the track.
"For quite some time I've been interested in the idea of allowing you the ability to tinker around with my tracks - to create remixes, experiment, embellish or destroy what's there. . . . What I'm giving you in this file is the actual multi-track audio session for 'the hand that feeds' in GarageBand format. . . . Drag the file over to your hard disk and double click it. Hit the space bar. Listen. Change the tempo. Add new loops. Chop up the vocals. Turn me into a woman. Replay the guitar. Anything you'd like"
to download the track, go here. i don't have garageband but i downloaded it anyway (because sometime i think things will work even if i don't have the software!), that's the icon on my desktop. my desktop wallpaper is the same wallpaper that lines the walls of the dove. the dove is the bar i was at last night while everyone else was at beck. see how i tied that all up nicely at the end. everything is related! somehow!
