now what?
now that the movable hype show is done...i think i can go back to posting about other things. i'll even give the arcade fire posts a break for a while.
so last night was the show at knitting factory. i was nervous about it because a) i organized it from the booking of the bands to the publicity to the million other things that apparently go into putting on a show and b) it was in the main space and i wanted it to at least LOOK crowded. but the good news is that people came out! from 8pm on the crowd got bigger and bigger (or maybe i was just starting to see double.) i think i must have only talked to each person i knew for about 10 minutes each. and then, under a pretty inebriated state, i got up on stage with jen chung to help introduce snowden. i sort of felt like i was in bridget jones' diary (the first one) where she is introducing the book launch and just fucks it all up. hopefully it went alright. the bands we're all awesome, just as expected.
so, i wanna do it again! this was fun. if you're in a band or want to suggest a band: email me! the next one is tentatively set for february.
don't forget...snowden plays tonight @ sidewalk cafe. 730pm.
