last night, after many many beers at the magician for coolfer's happy hour music blogger extravaganza, a few of us headed to bowery. driven by the gracious nick catchdubs we arrived at what we thought was a safe hour...but they weren't letting badges in anymore!
clearly we had to sit and rethink our plan for the night, where better to do this than the myspace.com party bus that was parked outside of bowery and offering up free beer and japanese candies! we got on and entered a surreal world doused in flashing lights and disco balls. it was the last refuge for those turned down at the door. and there was a lot of free beer.
wait, why am i falling over? oh...the bus is MOVING!? yes, it's taking a busload of LES-ers to the meatpacking district! do we look like we want to go to effing pastis?! they kicked us off at the maritime hotel. it was like a cruel joke, don't they know we don't know what to do when we get above 14th street?! we had to cab it back downtown (where we went to the suana that is the knitting factory to see ted leo. who was awesome, despite the fact i thought i was going to faint from heat exhaustion at that point.)
eventually they let in badges... but the partay bus had already split. so sorry cause vhs or beta and concretes were great. thanks for entertaining me for a few minutes!
